Tracking Specialist (Pickups)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tracking Specialist to monitor and track scheduled pickups for our freight brokerage. This role is responsible for ensuring carriers arrive on time, pickups are confirmed, and any issues are proactively communicated to the operations team and customers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable communicating with drivers and dispatchers, and able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Compensation: $18 per hour

• Track all scheduled pickups from dispatch through confirmation of pickup
• Contact drivers and carrier dispatchers to confirm pickup status and ETA
• Verify pickup times, locations, and load details
• Update tracking systems and TMS with real-time pickup information
• Identify and escalate delays, missed pickups, or issues immediately
• Communicate pickup status clearly to internal operations and customer service teams
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each load within TMS
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure service consistency
• Support operations team with additional tracking or administrative tasks as needed

• Prior experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation preferred
• Strong communication skills (phone, email, text)
• Ability to multitask and manage high call volumes
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working with TMS systems, spreadsheets, and tracking tools (Trucker Tools)
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
